Maria Schoinaki

I am a Master’s (MSc) student in Computer Science at the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), specializing in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Natural Language Processing (NLP).

I recently completed my BSc in Computer Science at AUEB, where my undergraduate thesis focused on the application of advanced Machine Learning and Deep Learning techniques for Digital Humanities, with a particular emphasis on Explainable AI (XAI).

I serve as a Research Intern with TALOS – AI4SSH (ERA Chair, University of Crete) and previously, I was an AI & ML Scholar with AWS.

Currently, I am studying Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Big Data and Cloud Computing. I am interested in machine learning methods for language and data-focused workflows (annotation, curation, evaluation), targeting applications in the social sciences, cultural heritage, and industry.
